In 1791, his last year, Mozart is seriously ill: worn out by so much work and morally exhausted by an immense poverty. He is concluding 'Die Zauberflöte'. Moreover, he receives a commission to compose an opera for the festival on the occasion of the crowning of the emperor of Austria to  king of Bohemia. At the middle of this turbulent period arrives a mysterious messenger with another commission: Mozart must compose a Requiem. He immediately receives the fees requested but he may not know the identity of his mysterious employer.
