Mozart inherited his catholic ideas from his father. He wrote many works on spirtual texts, among them are about fifteen masses. His ' Ave Verum' and ' Exultate Jubilate' makes part of the repertory of each chorus. The fact that Mozart, in spite of his argument with the archbishop of Salzburg, continued to write sacral music, proves his open spirit for the mystical expressions of the religious life. The Requiem is his masterwork, this work belongs to the most durable masterworks of all time.
